            Khanom Wong is made from flour in a round shape dough like a doughnut with brown sugar syrup dribbled on top. It is hardly found in the city markets nowadays. (Rattana Phromphichai, 1999, p. 824)
 
Ingredients
1. Glutinous rice flour1 Kg.
2. Ripe Banana5 0
3. Chicken egg3 0
4. Brown sugar 1 Cup

1. Mix flour and banana until well blended.
2. Add eggs and blend.
3. Slowly add water while blending.
4. Knead until it forms a ball.
5. Roll the dough into a long roll by hand. Join both ends to form a circle.
6. Deep fry in hot oil.
7. Deep fry until it becomes a golden yellow and place on a wire rack to drain off the oil.
8. Boil brown sugar in water until it becomes a somewhat thick syrup and dribble it over the khanom.
 
Tips
Adding a few leaves of pandan to the oil before frying the dough can give it a nice aroma.
