            Young and tender gourds are recommended. Fish should be grilled first sweet basil can be used instead of lemon-scented basil.
 
Ingredients
1. Young Bottle gourd 150 Gm.
2. Grilled Snakehead fish100 Gm.
3. Lemon-scented basil1/2 Cup
4. Chopped Coriander1/2 Tbsp.
5. Chopped Spring onion1/2 Tbsp.
Curry
1. Fresh green chilies2 0
2. Garlic5 Cloves
3. Shallots3 0
4. Grilled Snakehead fish50 Gm.
5. Shrimp paste1/2 Tbsp.
6. Salt1/2 Tsp.

1. Pound together chili paste ingredients until pulverized.
2. Stir chili paste into boiling water
3. Add sliced bottle gourd and cook until tender
4. Add snakehead fish and stir to mix.
5. Add Lemon-scented basil. Stir and remove from heat
 
Tips
Pounding grilled fish with chili paste will thicken the soup slightly.
