            Kaeng het tap tao or het ha calls for either fresh of dried chilies. Young tamarind leaves can be used instead of acidum. A variation can be created by adding tips of pumpkin vine and lemon-scented basil. (Deekit Kantakalang, personal communication, June 20, 2007)
 
Ingredients
1. Bolete Mushrooms200 Gm.
2. Ground pork50 Gm.
3. Tender leaves of China laurel30 Gm.
Curry
1. Dried Chili spur pepper3 0
2. Dried Bird chili5 0
3. Shallots5 0
4. Garlic10 Cloves
5. Shrimp paste1/2 Stems
6. Salt1 Tsp.

1. Pound together chili paste ingredients until pulverized.
2. Stir chili paste into boiling water.
3. Add pork and simmer until pork is tender
4. Add mushrooms. Stir and cook until mushrooms are tender.
5. Add acidum. Stir to mix. Remove from heat.
