            Sometimes called namphrik thua nao, this kind of sauce is quite thick as it is made from boiled and fermented soy beans wrapped in banana leaves and grilled. (See also the instructions for making thua nao mue). (Sumali Thabun, personal communication, June 27, 2007)
 
Ingredients
1. Roasted Bird chili15 0
2. Fermented soy beans2 Tbsp.
3. Roasted Garlic10 Cloves
4. Lime juice1/2 0
5. Salt1 Tsp.

1. Roast the bird chilies.
2. Pound the chilies with the garlic and salt.
3. Add fermented soy beans and pound some more
4. Squeeze in lime juice and stir to blend.
