            Khao Nuk Nga or Khao Khluk Nga requires the seeds of frutescenes which looks like sesame seeds (brownish gray and round seeds) to be pounded together with a little salt and freshly steaming glutinous rice. It is seasonal in the cold season during the rice harvest time. It is usually made and eaten in the morning.
 
Ingredients
1. Glutinous rice1 Liter
2. Seeds of Frutescenes 1/2 Cup
3. Salt1 Tbsp.

1. Wash rice and soak it overnight.
2. Wash the soaked rice again and steam on a medium fire for 25-30 minutes.
3. Pour the rice on a tray and stir to release steam before packing it in a rice box.
4. On a low fire roast the seeds of the frutescenes.
5. Pound the seeds together with salt.
6. Add the hot rice and pound some more.
7. Pound the rice and the rest until thoroughly blended.
 
Tips
The rice must be piping hot to make the pounding easy and mix well. The snack is best when eaten warm.
