            Ngatam oi is a sweet for the ethnic Tai Yong in the winter season. It was commonly available 10-20 years ago. Nowadays it is hard to find. (Saowapha Thakaeo, personal communication, July 4, 2007)
 
Ingredients
1. Seeds of Frutescenes 1 Cup
2. Packed Brown sugar 1 Cup

1. On a low fire roast the seeds of the frutescenes until a nice aroma is released.
2. When they are cool pound them finely.
3. Add packed sugar and pound some more.
4. Add 1 tbsp. water and pound some more.
5. Put in a bowl.
