            Perennial with long underground rhizome, stalk angular, erect 40-100 cm. Leaves compound with 3 leaflets, ovate, 3-7 cm. long, acute tip, long peticule. Inflorescence umbrella-like, white to greenish white. Drupe reversed ovate. The plant can be found in the open ground on sandy soil, 600 m. and up of deciduous forests.
 
        
            No nutritional information available. Seeds are used as spices to enhance food flavor. Lanna people use it in chili paste for lap.
        
Herbaceous plant. People of India eat the roots like carrots as a tonic and to reduce fever.
