Ho Phra Kaeo Khao used to house the white crystal Buddha image. It is located behind the flat gong (khongsadan) pavilion. The image was believed to have been brought here by Queen Chamathewi from Lop Buri when she became ruler of Nakhon Haripunchai. Later, when King Mengrai invaded the town of Lamphun, all the houses, people and temples were burned down. However, the pavilion housing the white crystal Buddha image (Phra Kaeo Khao) miraculously survived the fire. So, it became a sacred or holy image and was enshrined at Wat Chiangman in Chiang Mai. The hall itself was demolished and replaced by the flat gong pavilion to the north of the main wihan of Wat Phra That Haripunchai Woramahawihan.
