The ubosot is situated outside the main compound of the temple (phutthawat) toward the northeast of the main wihan or on the north side of the pair of lion sculptures in the front. The ubosot houses the principle Buddha image known as Phra Chao Thognthip of the middle period of Chiansaen art. The sculpture is placed in a nich (khong or sum) with a decorative arch of Haripunchai art.
