 The steel bridge crossing the Mae Kok River was bombed by the Allies during the Great East-Asian War. Part of it was destroyed so the government had to find wood planks to fill in the gaps destroyed by the bombs. The car seen in the photo was a coach from Kentung with the license plate identifying KTG (Kentung Government)
