Chedi Kiw, 2008. Photo taken from the east bank of the Ping river at the area called the Scorpion Tail Boat Pier in Fa Ham area. The US Consulate still remains at the same site on the left of Chedi Kiw whereas the Chiang Mai Municipality Office building is a new one. The bank here used to have bamboo wharfs for use during the Loi Krathong Festival. The retaining walls have been permanently built and improved with permanent stairways for better use.
