The principle chedi of this temple is different from those elsewhere. It is placed on a square base with seven tips like the Bho Khya Chedi in India. The outer vihara walls are decorated with angel designs in stucco that has preserved its beauty under the shades of the Sri Maha Bhodi tree in the middle of the temple.
