Chedi Kiew or Chedi Khao (white pagoda), 1961. A Caltex gas station used to be at the corner in the area of the present Chiang Mai Municipality Office.

Chedi Kiew, 2008. Photo taken from beside the American Consulate on Witchatanoda Raod towards the Ping River. On the left was where the Caltex gas station used to be. Now it has been replaced with the Chiang Mai City Municipality Office. The road on the left is the Wang Sing Kham Road passing the Chedi and ending at the Nawarat Bridge.
