The banks of the Ping. The construction dumped dirt to half the river width narrowing the waterway which have caused continuous problems until today, 1989.

The Ping River Bank, 2008. Photo taken from the Chansom Anuson Bridge towards the south. The Nawarat Bridge seen here is a little further left than the one in the old photo due to the old photo being blocked by bushes and trees. Today, the area on the right bank of the Ping has become a flower market called “Kad Dok Mai” with stalls and flower shops open along both sides of the Post Office Road as far as to the Oong Thao Kong Ma Shrine behind Ton Lam Yai Market.
