[--][--]A photograph of Prince Phongthada Na Lamphun, son of Major General Ammat Tho ChakkhamKhachonsak, the 10th ruler of Lamphun and Princess Khankaeo Na Lamphun, was born at the old royal residence (Khum Luang), Tambon Nai Wiang, Mueang District, Lamphun Province, in July, 1906.
[--][--]He married in 1940 to Princess Chitchong Chakraphand, daughter of Prince Anuphongchakraphat and Mon Lamyai Chakraphand Na Ayutthaya who was the grandchild of Prince Chao Fa Kromphrachakraphadiphong.

[--][--]Prince Phongthada was a very intelligent and hard working student. He was granted a studious award from King Rama VI during his studies at the Royal Page School. And in England, his teachers commended him saying that he was a foreign student who could do better in English and History than the native students themselves. He also studied French.
[--][--]In terms of sports, during his studies in England, the prince earned many trophies and awards for tennis, baseball, cricket and rugby at Kelly University.
[--][--]During his service at the Attorney General Department, he still played tennis and coached some officials as well as businessmen and other people. He received other awards including one for the Northern Senior Championship Doubles players.
[--][--]Toward the final lap of his life, he suffered heart disease from the time he reached 60 years of age and was admitted the last time to Lanna Hospital on February 20, 1995 before passing away on the following day, due to a blood clot in the heart vein, when he was 89 years old.
