“Ox carts are better” Fang-Tha Ton Road, 1952.

The Fang three-way intersection, 2008. The road is extended from Tha Ton with a right turn into Fang District. The wooden house on the left before the curve is the Pojsunthon Family’s house. Mr. Jessada Pojsunthon, one of the members of this family, had remarked that “My grandfather bought it from Nan Chum around 1947 and opened a gas station here. It was a Shell gas station at the corner before turning left into Fang District. On the opposite side, the house on the left before the intersection was a rice mill where many oxcarts would gather to buy rice. The road would become muddy especially during the rainy season causing cars and carts to get stuck in the mud here. Today, it has been changed to commercial buildings and shops.” Mr. Jessada Pojsunthon has continued to live in the wooden house though many changes have been made to it. He has run an agrichemical store.
